Vice President of Finance
As the Vice President of Finance for Alvarez LLC, Jennifer is primarily responsible for all of the company’s accounting and financial functions. In this role she prepares all reports that summarize business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Jennifer manages a $250 million book of business and is responsible for the long-term strategic planning and growth of financial resources at Alvarez.
Jennifer successfully manages the company’s cash flow position and administers tax planning and preparation in order to ensure corporate compliance. To this end she maintains a detailed system of accounting records and implements a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Jennifer has over 15 years of experience serving government contractors in the accounting field. Her previous experience as a Controller enabled her to establish, monitor, and enforce a variety of internal accounting controls that helped maximize the bottom-line profitability for several firms. Jennifer also has experience in proposal writing and costing preparation, human resource implementation, and accounting set-up and development. She holds a BA in Finance from the University of South Florida.
In her personal time, Jennifer enjoys spending time in the Florida sunshine with her husband, children, and two dogs.
